I'm going to be in the market for a new golf car soon and was looking for input from current or previous owners of golf cars with the Curtis Cab enclosure. Looking for any positive or negative feedback (from owners only). For instance, from looking at them I wonder if they'd be too hot in the warmer months? Do the doors rattle a lot when your driving with them open? Any and all comments would be appreciated.

Great in the colder months especially when windy. No problem in summer , just keep the doors open. Rain... no problem jump in and close the doors. Ours is older and there is some rattle but worth it. looked at the newer ones , better doors tighter all around. I would always have one cart with a Curtis.

Have had one for about 6 years, totally love it! When doors are open you can bungee chord them so they don't swing out while going around corners. You do have to push door out and then open or close, need just a tiny bit of muscle to do that!

I owned a Curtis Cab cart for several years. I did not find it too hot in summer but I also had a fan unit installed. If the design is the same as the one I had the drawback is the fact you need clearance to open the doors because they push out and fold back which can be an issue when people park too close to you. Also the doors need to be either open or closed no in between. They also can swing out when making turns when driving. I switched to a Sleekline enclosure 5 years ago the difference is the doors slide open & closed so no extra clearance is required and can be partially open to improve airflow inside when driving. I think the Sleekline is warmer during the summer than the Curtis Cab but I still have the fan.

There are other types of hard side enclosures out there but these are the only ones I have owned and I prefer both over the original fabric/plastic enclosure. I would suggest, if you can, test driving carts with the different types to see how they function and which you prefer. Good luck.

We have had both Curtis Cab and Sleekline enclosures on carts.

The Curtis cab seems a little more solid. The doors opening by pushing out can be a problem if someone parks close to you. (This was on an electric Club Car)

We now have a Sleekline on an electric cart, EZGO. We added a under dash fan to keep air circulating. We had some problems with water leaking and they (The Villages Golf Carts and Sleekline) were very good about coming up with a solution. (Part of the problem was the way the roofline on the EZGO aligns with the Sleekline sides, the roof does not have overhang similar to the Yamaha carts.)

Love mine and would never use the zippered enclosures again. Like said above, easy to close in the rain or cold and easy to ride open when warm.

Be careful of the Curtis cab on golf carts purchased at The Villages Golf Cars. I bought a new one April 2019 to place over a $15,000 Yamaha gas-powered golf cart. Trouble with noise from Curtis cab from Day 1. Took it back at least four times. Last time they put on Velcro with no positive result. Have sent emails and letters to higher ups. No response. This is the Curtis that doors do not swing out, just close. I have purchased four carts from The Villages. Never again.

That could be a one time bad unit, but it doesn't speak well of the TV Golf Cars as far as customer service. Many people on older threads have said they got their Curtis Cab from Carts & Clubs in Ocala and were very happy with the product.

Hopefully you saw the ad in the Daily Sun the special advertisement section I believe it was on Monday. Curtis Cabs are on sale for $2499, the Curtis website lists the price at $3407, so that's a good deal. It said to call (352) 552-5662

Love my Curtis cab. Bought my 2020 cart with Curtis cab in May and have had no problems with heat all Summer. Went out today with cold weather and I was very comfortable. I don’t like the blind spot created with the Curtis cab but I got used to it.

I've had both the slimline on a 2016 Yamaha and now a Curtis Cab on a 2019 Yamaha. I liked the Slimline but I love the curtis cab enclosure. It is the newer style that slides flat along the cab wall. The thing I didn't like about the other curtis cab style is they swung out and away in order to open them. The newer style slides flat along the cab body and it doesn't rattle like the old style did. The slimline is a cheaper enclosure, not at tight as the curtis cab, and rattles a lot. The curtis cab has automotive style gaskets that seal out air and keep it quiet. The curtis cab also has locks on the doors so you can feel some measure of safety when you leave the cart. It is not hot in the summer any more than an open cart. FYI I installed after market fans in my cart which also helps greatly. I use them in the winter too to circulate heat from my Mr. Heater unit. The best part of the cab enclosure is you can quickly adapt to whatever weather comes along. I would NEVER go back to a canvas enclosure.

I have had 2. I find them to be noisy but my wife likes them to protect her hair doo. IMO they increase the cart noise by enclosing it as well as adding some rattling sounds.

Got a used cart with Curtis cab. Did some homework on other brand at showroom, but preferred the Curtis. More solidly built. Doors don't rattle. My neighbor calls me on rainy days to take him to the mailbox, since he doesn't have the protection and the cloth curtains etc are a pain! Won't ever buy anything else!
