I agree about the Curtis cab being great in bad weather. I love the convenience.

Before you buy, look at the MEE Cab with sliding doors. We had a Curtis Cab previously and the push out doors should be bungeed to the sweater basket to keep them from rattling. The new Curtis has sliding doors. The MEE Cab is great, less expensive, more visibility and does not add any extra width to the cart.

We have the old style Curtis Cab where the doors swing out. The cart is 10 years old and I had the door assemblies (pistons and rods) replaced this year. Works great and very tight again, cost about $400 but compared to prices for the new Curtis sliding doors, I'll take it! That is the question you must ask, do you want convenience in summer for rain and winter for cold. We love our closed cab and would not buy an open one. Many of our friends bought open carts only to re-purchase a closed cart. It is not hot in the summer! But, it is a lot warmer in the winter. My two cents.

Going on year 2 with my Curtis cab. I have the Curtis II sliding doors, not the Curtis I swing-out doors, on my Yamaha Quiet-Tech gas cart. I had a slight rattle when the doors were closed but the dealer fixed it quickly. They are much warmer and quieter in the cold months than canvas sides. In the warm months they are great with the doors open. When open they do not rattle.
The only recommendation I would make is to have the external rear view mirrors moved down to prevent the blind spot created by the mirror/enclosure wall. When going around a left corner, I have to look under the mirror to check for oncoming traffic. But I’ve gotten pretty good at this now, lol.

I prefer my car when it is nasty weather. It seals well and has a heater with fan.

Cart is preferred anytime weather is decent. No need for any of the different type cart enclosures then.

Benefits:
Quick and easy to open and close doors.
No rattles.
Don't have to try to see through crinkly plastic enclosure.

Minor issues:
These do allow in some air unlike zippered enclosures, so just a little more drafty in the winter.
Shape of door tends to block mirrors. I had my mirrors remounted.
Too close parkers for the swing out doors. Happened to me this week.

Hopefully you saw the ad in the Daily Sun the special advertisement section I believe it was on Monday. Curtis Cabs are on sale for $2499, the Curtis website lists the price at $3407, so that's a good deal. It said to call (352) 552-5662

I've been interested in the Curtis Cab also. Tired the number in that add, seems a bit suspicious but.... you never know ! There was no business name, no greeting, and no one EVER seems to "be there". In four attempts I got a male voice that did not give any identification (Hi, this is Jim's cart service, or similar) at all, and simply said leave name and number and I'll get in touch with you. Didn't even say WHEN, or "soon" or anything. I decided not to pursue that, didn't sound quite right. Have had Carts and Clubs in Ocala recommended by people I actually know, at least 30, 40 times. People seem MUCH happier with them than the ones owned by The Villages ! ?

Which dealers sell the MEE ? Do you know if Carts & Clubs in Ocala sells carts with that brand ? I guess I could call or go to their website if no answer on TOTV's. Is the price about the same as the others, Curtis, Trimline, etc.

I wanted one for the same reason as Greg L's wife. Also I find rolling down and up the vinyl is a pain. Also was told they are noisy from the rattling of the doors. Bought a used gas cart for now and when I move down permanently I do want to look into the curtis cab.

I have had both. Prefer MEE. Carts and Clubs built our cart with the MEE enclosure.
If you go with the Curtis, you need to park where you can swing the doors open. Also, don't try to open while driving. When I did that, the wind knocked the door somewhat out of alighment and it didn't close as tightly as before.

Love my Curtis cab on an older Yamaha golf cart. Only downside is lower backwards visibility unless you get really good side mirrors.

Where did you get your doors repaired? It sounds as though I have the same problem you had and am looking to get it repaired.
