Default Children's Golf Clubs

The grandkids, 8 and 10, will be here from July 21 to Aug 5. Where may I rent clubs for them? They could share, so only one set is needed.

Thanks, J.

I'm headed to Sumter Landing today to pick up some tickets for Camp Villages and Palmer is right on the way.

Since kids outgrow such things so quickly it does not surprise me there isn't much. I was hoping someone would sell me theirs and when the kids leave i could try to resell them.

That would be a good small business for someone: rental of things kids who fly in would not bring with them: baseball gloves, golf clubs and the like.

Didn't I hear somewhere that kids under the age of 12 weren't allowed to play golf on TV courses?

I took my grandkids to Baseline Golf Course (352-245-4414). Kids can play golf there and they rent children's clubs. You might call first, I don't know how many sets of kids clubs they have. The nice thing about that course is that you can just show up and play without making reservations...and, take your camera...it's beautiful.

Default Kids golf

I stopped at Palmer today and they were very helpful. They will loan 2 children-sized putters, a 7 and 9 iron for a short time. They said I have to bring the kids to see the pro at one of the championship courses and if they are approved, they will receive a letter which permits them to play on any course.

I appreciate the Baseline info. and may give it a shot.

I'm still looking for a set of clubs for an 8 and 10 year old, if anyone wants to lend, sell, rent, etc.

John

Any course? Can't see most 8 year olds playing the championship courses.
