The one that’s not from rust belt.

Just don’t get one from rust belt.

That mileage, on that yr and model at that particular dealership...are selling at about 19K. And those are coming out of the rental fleet. It’s a popular model but again, do your homework on its origins/history.

I always try to buy a used vehicle from a private seller that has owned it for a long time. I pay cash and my budget is much smaller though. I do all my own upkeep and maintenance on my vehicles. Vehicles built after 2012 forward tend to be more computerized though and harder to work on. All of today's vehicles usually are good for 200,000 miles if cared for (excepting electric or hybrids).

Thank you all for your comments. I am hoping to find a safe, reliable car that will not give me problems. If you come across a "deal" please let me know.

2018 Ford Escape with 32,711 miles for $14,995 2 hours away...

Would you trust a reputable dealer 2 hours away to deliver for free?

Cliff....being able to maintain the car yourself is great if you know what you're doing. All the fancy bells and whistles on today's vehicles only make things more expensive because something always seems to need fixing.

Can’t beleive how the auto industry’s think the average driver drives 12,000 miles a a yr.& they only give us 36,000 miles or 3 yr. warranty! I always get over 100 thousand miles on my last 4 or 5 cars before I start having issue, I know some people start having trouble start having trouble as soon as they drive off the show room floor. But cars to day are better but can’t speak for EV’s.

I have an 2005 Toyota with 185,000 miles on it. My mechanic says it can easily do 300k.
