This is just bizarre to me. In every major Northeast US city they have New Years eve celebrations every year with live bands and vendors in MUCH colder temps than forecast for here plus there's no rain or snow forecast, so cancelling just because people would have to wear long pants and a jacket makes no sense. This is an embarassment to be honest.

I missed the announcement canceling New Years Eve at our squares.

If the north's policies make sense to you and are ones you prefer, you should go back. That road you drove to move here goes both ways. You are now in the south, we do things different here.

And with all the kids and grandkids in town, no other place to go that’s free….

To be honest you may need to call the Entertainment Dept. with your complaint. The rule I believe is 46* and things get canceled on the Squares. They will be happy to explain to you.

Also I find it embarrassing when embarrassment is spelled wrong.

Ever play guitar with mittens on?

One of the first bumper stickers we saw down here was "WE DON"T CARE HOW YOU DID IT UP NORTH!" I love it!

The civil war is over there is no north and south only the United States of America.

Go to the Square with your family, bring a boombox, and dance the night away. No one is stopping you from going to square it's just unfair to entertainers to try and play instruments for 4 hours in freezing cold weather.

Nobody up North is performing on stage for 4 hours in freezing weather. They may do a song or two and then somebody else takes over and so on.
