Default City Furniture sales people have bad attitude

Went to City Furniture today as I had been looking to purchase a server for our dining room. Had researched on line and found a price of $449.99 at City Furniture and same server at Badcocks for $399.95. Went first to Badcocks as it was closer to our home. They did not have in stock but would order for us. Told them we would think about it and get back to them. City Furniture states that they had it in stock at Spanish Spring store and we're giving 10% discount for Memorial Day weekend on non-sale items. When to City Furniture. Sales man states there is no discount. Told him Badcocks had same thing for $399 instead of $449. He asked manager and would give discount. Told him we wanted it and would like to pick it up ourselves. He said you can't do that, it must be delivered for $59.99. They had the servers there. Would not sell it to us unless we had it delivered. Left store and went back to Badcock's. Ordered the server for $399.95 and was told they were giving us 10% for Memorial Day weekend sale. Total cost with tax $385! We can pick it up on Wednesday. City Furniture lost a $449 sale that they really did not care about.

You really need to do a search here for "City Furniture." Had you done so, I doubt you would have gone there, even to save some $$. I think you dodged a bullet.

I am amazed that people still patronize City Furniture after having read all of the negative experiences here.

They were a sleazy operation in South Florida, & they haven't changed after coming here.

The loss of Southern Lifestyles at Lake Sumter Landing--next to Panera--has left a huge deficit in shopping/retail there.

I wonder why TV management does not see this, especially with the constant complaints here, of City Furniture being sleazy.

Babettes and Family Furniture in Leesburg are far better quality and selection, and so is White's in Summerfield. I wish Babettes would open a store right on the square at Lake Sumter.

I think I can guarantee you, The Developers contract with City Furniture would never allow that!!

The best we can do is warn people about businesses like City Furniture & Tire Choice--don't tell people not to use them , but tell them to do their homework online, tons of complaints

Would never buy a thing from city furniture, the press on here killed that in a hurry.

Two of the most criminal places in the villages, and even with all the bad reviews here and elsewhere, they will still be in business for years to come. To many new individuals to come in and take the place of the ones who got fleeced.

We had problems with them twice and will not enter that store again. I think they only want to sell to the developer for entire home furnishings.
