I just use the card that came with the house. Hubby has one too. We carry them with us and use them if/when needed. Mine's in a silicone pocket stuck to the back of my cell phone case. If I'm too far from the card reader to just push the red button (or if the card reader doesn't have one) then I just hold the back of the phone up with my open window and voila - open gate.
If it's raining - my wrist and hand get wet. The phone's in a case, it can handle a couple of seconds of downpour. |

That could be another reason why many people want the mirror transponders. |

Wireless chargers are never as fast as plugging your phone with a cord into a wall socket charger (or cigarette lighter charger or USB port on your dashboard). So rather than waste hours waiting for my phone to charge up from 60%, I waste 15 minutes with corded charging. They've also improved cell phone cases these days. And they've improved on those silicone card pockets as well. There are dozens of combos you can choose and still have your phone charge with a wireless charger. There is absolutely no need, or reason, for anyone to use a cloned gate card, when their home comes with two of them already. |

I've seen several good reasons for using a cloned card in this thread alone.

My cloned mirror chip and gate card are still working. EVERYWHERE even south of 44.

If someone steels a cloned golf cart, bike or other vehicle can they get in the property with it?

The gates are not used to "guard" the roads, as much as to slow traffic, so golf carts don't get flattened. I suppose if the towns you mentioned decided to facilitate golf cart transport, then they would likely consider the gate options, especially as a successful example is so nearby. |

I dont understand peoples' anger over cloned cards. If you don't want one, don't get one.
I bought a cloner (the one pictured above) and made my own cards for all my villages vehicles (including a Goldwing). They worked well and no baby seals were harmed. |
