Hi Wendyquat,
Is most of your anxiety about the task of moving itself, or are you also doubting whether you would prefer to live here, where you are or perhaps somewhere else? Do you think that once you settled here you might have regrets or do you just more dread the buying, selling and moving

I ask because I think renting for six months is a fabulous idea-- unless it would just drag out the process and increase the length of your anxiety. After Feb. it's not hard to find rentals, so you can always rent for a month and see whether you need more time to decide.

Anxiety about a major change is normal. You'll figure it out. Just know your TOTV friends are behind you whatever you decide. All best wishes!

I hesitated to post something negative here but I am so glad I did. In June we met so many nice people everywhere we went and thought we'd like to become a part of TV. In December it has been so cold we have not been to the squares much nor to a lot of places that we enjoyed in June (like the dog parks with our dog). I see there ARE many nice, caring people here. It won't be easy to find a place in eastern NC that will be near our friends as it is such a depressed, forlorn area you must go West of I-95 to find any progress and going over to the Western part of the state is about as far as coming down here and then we'd have to deal with the snow, etc.
Anyway, you've given me much to think about when I get back home this weekend and I really do appreciate it! Thanks! And Happy New Year!
