Don't know if they closed, but I heard they were selling regular for $4.01/gallon on Monday while other area stations were charging $3.86. Maybe they were closed by the Sheriff and charged with highway robbery. :cop:

They probably could not afford to pay for the next load of fuel. The approx cost $30k

Last week, I took my cart down there and was told by the "manager" that they were experiencing computer problems and that things would be up and running in a "day or two"..I think "greenerside" might be right. I think there are many, many of us who refuse to pay a 15 cent premium compared to the local market for fuel. Whoever made that business decision really missed the mark. Too bad, perhaps it will be sold to someone who understands basic consumer economics.

Use to be the customers robbed the gas station. Now it's the other way around.

I don't think the fault lies with the owner/manager/franchiser. It is a Chevron problem -- it seems their gas prices are higher throughout the area. I feel for the person who bought into the station. If typical, they spent a lot of money to be in with a "name" corporation and now are in the process of losing it all because that "name" insists on overpricing.

The Chevron station in Belleview on 441 is closed too. The sign on the door says out of gas.

My brother was driving my car last week and got gas at the Chevron station. It was 4.04. A serviceman was here today and said it's 4.21. I would have cruised around a little more if I'd been driving.Even for 3.99. Just the principle of the thing!!!
