Exclamation Good, Bad and the Ugly

The good is that we did run from Comcast after many years. We called DirectTV and they converted from one to the other with no interrupt. We were able to get a great system with AT&T at a lower price. we like Direct TV much more than we liked Comcast
The Bad is that we had to stick with Comcast for the internet which we now have to follow each month to make sure they don't pull the same tricks with it as they did with the TV service.
The Ugly, we have had Direct TV for about 8 months and bingo on our last bill our 4 individual Genie's went up 50 cents a month and we were billed $2.14 for a 2 channel local sports which we don't follow anyway. To cancel this $2.14 2 channel clip would mean we would have to go to another plan and lose 74 channels in the process. The increases are minor, the implications are major.

I, too, bought my own modem for Comcast, but had a not so great experience getting it activated. It took forever and a few different techs.

I currently only have Comcast internet. I have Roku, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. I'm really liking Amazon Prime. I can order many things and get free 2 day shipping. If I agree to regular shipping they give me a $1 credit toward a video not available for free. My son and I watched John Wick the other night using our credits. I just finished all of Downton Abbey and now am starting Justified. I like it better than getting invested in a new network show only to have it cancelled after a brief time.
