Question Connecting new “ Southern Villages”?

When will the new “Southern Villages”, such as Monarch Grove or Linden, be connected via Golf cart path to The Northern Squares?

They will be connected at some point in 2020. The exact month is up for debate.

I'm in no hurry for it to happen.

Even when connected it will still be quicker, and safer by car, specialy so at night.

I think these trails are going to need a few rest areas when opened.

I live in what used to be the South end of The Villages (the Village of Dunedin). I'm guessing that by the time I drive over to Brownwood, take the bridge across 44, go around the lake down there, go over the (as yet un-finished) bridge over the Florida turnpike and get into the Village of Dunedin, I will have driven my golf cart for nearly as long as it takes me to drive up to Spanish Springs. That takes me pretty much a full hour. I've only driven to Spanish Springs in my cart twice in the 3 years I've been here. I don't imagine I'll be driving to Fenney (much less the even newer areas coming up to the Southeast of Fenney) any more often than that. I'll still do it once for sure, just for the experience. And if the trail through the woods and around the lake is nice enough, maybe I'll do it more often just for the scenery.

That there is funny, no matter where you're from!

Also perhaps a couple of food trucks in case we need a dining option on the way up north!

No worries, there is a planned rest area, with picnic tables, restrooms, and snacks. Gas pumps will open at a later date

It will be quite a golf cart ride from down south. They may have to raise speed on the carts...legally : )
