Question Cookie Exchange

We used to do a Holiday Cookie exchange at my church up north....

Is anyone interested in doing this here??

Everyone that is interested makes about 4 dozen of their favorite cookie.....and then we gather to exchange....everyone getting 4-6 of each or more depending on number of participants!!

Well...I have no doubt you all know what this is...and how it works....anyone interested??

There are plenty of Cookie Exchanges in The Villages at the Rec Centers. Check out the newspaper for time and place.

They'd definitely be worth lining up for.

Sign me up for the brownies::

About the cookie exchange, I'm afraid my attitude is "been there done that." If it's still something you'd like to do....well as another poster said...lots of chances at the Rec centers.

Talking Why can't.........

Why can't someone invent a "healthy" cookie ? One without all the yummy butter and milk that I can't consume?

I'm totally addicted to brownies; my local health-food cafe bakes their own bread and granola and they made a scrumptious brownie without dairy so I stocked up on them - ate so much ot them that I made myself sick

Hey, I'm just being silly; hope your cookie exchange becomes a successful reality

Wink

Yup, been there, done that. Great for when the kids were so excited for the different cookies and the Mommy/kid baking experience.

Just give me a roll of slice and bakes these days.
or buy TooJays black and whites!
Healthy brownies????
My version:
Doves dark chocolate
every day
Easy, unwrap, pop in mouth, savor the flavor and healthy, too!!
I'm done with baking!!!
choco chip, congo bars, butter balls, wandis, pizzelles, baklava.......I've baked all these and more.........
banana split pie was a family favorite every holiday
BTW, Feel free to send any extra cookies over my way!!
I would hate to see them wasted!! LOL

I agree. When there were Brownies to help eat the Brownies and Sunday School children to share the cookies with and Homemakers club and kids sleepovers, then baking cookies was fun and made sense. Now it is five minutes in your mouth and five years on your belly and three times a week exercising is not going to do the trick. By the way, all the moving around and activities and exercise class at Odell Center, I lost eight pounds in my six weeks in TV! I was delighted.

Thanks Coney!!! The plans are under way....should have at least 10 different cookies along with some fudge....but no such luck on the healthy brownies....heard of cookies made with granola though.....

Good for you Gracie Girl, eight pounds, that is a lot of cookies!

I agree that cookie making is best left for the young and fit families. At our stage in life, retired, it is so hard to lose weight! Well done GG!!

When my children were young I baked and baked as a mother will do.

Now even though, I do make really good cookies, I only indulge the cookie monster in me rarely. A piece of fruit or chocolate saves me hours of cookie making and untold agonies of diet, guilt and excercise . Christmas is no exception, cause I found those cookies have calories too. How sad.
