Default Cost of building lanai on back of patio villa?

We have a patio villa with a small lanai on the front. We're interested in building a medium sized lanai on the back of the house to overlook the golf course, to include extending the current roof over it.

Does anyone know what something like this might cost? We lined up some builders to come give us estimates, but they all can't come for at least a month. Perhaps some of you have experience with this? Any information will be interesting to us. Thanks!

We've got a larger than normal lot and believe we'll be able to add a modest size room to the back. Depending on the cost, it would be wonderful to have the added space with a wonderful view to enjoy.

We looked into widening our lanai and extending the roof with it, and the contractor we use advised against it as extension of the roof would be very expensive if it could be done (we'd also have to get approval to raise the roof in order to complete the extention due to the slope of our roof). Perhaps it has to do with our model of home (Camelia) versus a patio villa.
