Default Cost of Golf

Looking to buy a home in the villages in the very near future. Hopefully August. Having visited several times I am familiar with the golf courses and their charges. My wife and I are curious as to what we might spend to play golf on a month to month basis. Do most play the "FREE" executive courses and the Champion courses about once a week or the Champion courses all the time. As we all know golf can get expensive when you add up executive trail fee, priority golf fees, and daily green fees. I have guessed that my wife and I might get by for around $250 to 300 per month. What do villagers budget for golf on a monthly basis? How is the golf in the winter when the population is up? Thanks for any help/insight.

Hi there,

First off, trail fees are included in priority membership.

Depending on where you live, will depend on the championship courses you play. At least it does for us.

Hubby and I play 2 championship courses and 2-3 exec courses, all of course subject to weather.

We found that we rarely have trouble getting a tee time with that combo. I know some of our friends play more champ. and then others only play exec. Tis all up to you and your desires.

I do believe you could manage on what you have stated as far as money. It all depends on what courses you play. Green fees for OBH, Hacienda, and Terra are less than Glenview and Lopez, then comes Mallary and Cane, Havana, with Palmer being the most expensive.( as far as I can recollect at this hour of the night)

Have a smooth move.
