I asked about that at the Clermont service desk. They said Costco is very conservative about new technology and won’t introduce scan and go until it’s perfected. I told them that Sam’s is perfected, I use it all the time.

Ironically, during my next visit to Costco, the cashier missed a case of soda in the bottom of my cart and I got held up at the exit for about 10 minutes.

I love scan and go and hope they introduce it soon.

Can I get a trailer Hitch and a utility trailer for my Costco visits?? Gotta be a thing if you don't want to take the SUV. I've tried to do a small shop at Costco - it's an impossible ask.

In the Very Least, it appears quite obvious that the Left Turn Lane in front of Fresh Market will require lengthening, if not doubled … AND a Traffic Signal definitely will need to be installed.
Been wondering how the intersection in front of Fresh market will be reconfigured to handle the traffic flow. Although a traffic signal seems logical, will it cause traffic to backup onto 466? There is not a lot of room between that intersection and 466. The light cycle for traffic using Wedgewood would have to be very short to prevent the backup. Will be interesting to see how that works, perhaps a roundabout, but very doubtful as no work has started and time is short before the scheduled opening.

Costco has by far the cheapest automotive batteries one can find. I predict they will sell a crap load of replacement gas Yamaha golf cart batteries.

Online is good. But they don’t mail the card. You have to pick it up. We will go to Claremont where you need your picture taken,

You can join online and get a digital membership card (no photo required), which will allow you to enter the store and purchase merchandise like a physical card. You can always get a physical card later when the lines have subsided. That is the way to go, rather than going to Clermont or waiting in a long line.

The Costco I go to, in Connecticut no longer has books for sale. Hope other ones do.

They give you a card with your picture (similar to the card you are given in The Villages). Once you have your card, you can show it to the door greeter and just walk right on in. That will save you a lot of time and aggravation. Otherwise, wait a few months. When things slowed down in Clermont, they moved everything indoors and crowd control was no longer an issue. For a while, we had trouble even finding a parking spot in Clermont. That's not a problem today, at any time of the day. But their parking lot is huge.
What is the cost of a membership to Costco?

A regular membership is $65 per year. You don't need to go to Clermont to get a membership or to wait in any line. Do it on their website. See Post No. 39.

When i compare our needs and wants is Costco really worth it? We have Sam's, our latest membership cost $25. I believe Costco is $65.
We buy ALL our paper products at Sam's. Looked up all the same product types at Costco and they are either more $$ or they don't have a
good choice, like paper towels. Also allergy meds are more at Costco. So i am trying to justify switching! Having both memberships is not
cost prohibitive. Thoughts??
