There are plenty of things you can buy in smaller quantities...

I have never been to a Costco but have been to a Sam's Club and a BJs.

What makes Costco so much better? Prices, selection, quality of products?

All of the above, plus different products. But the reason there are diehard Costco fans is Customer Service, online or in person

It was crowded if you didn’t have a card already, but what a nice set up once inside. The wine department was very nice. I’ve always liked the exit though. Hotdog and drink still a 1.50. The drive was just short of a half hour from St Catherine.

November 14th 10 Am. See you there.

It’s so nice to see one about a half hour drive away. Adios Wesley Chapel
when they were opening a new location some years ago now in Sarasota, they offered some good membership incentives...reduction in annual dues.. anyone know of any offers to entice Villages residents ?

[QUOTE=billethkid;2272521]48 miles from our driveway....into the heart of a very busy commercial area/traffic...no thanks

Clermont may be a bit closer to us (LSL area) down 27. Will give it a try, but usually just go to Winter Park and make a day of it; Costco, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods all in relative proximity. Used to make a stop at Nothin Bundt. Dropped that one since we got one here now. We enjoy a lot of Winter Park restaurants, so hit one of them for an early dinner making all the shopping just an enjoyable outing !

LOL ! That brought a smile to my face, I was thinking "too crowded", I wonder if you've ever observed the opening day of a KFC outlet in the Villages ? ? People line up before dawn and the lines goes 3X around the building as if none of them has ever been to KFC in their life. I think "openings" of any kind, are just exciting to many people, and really repulsive to others. I usually tend to wait for the "newness" to wear off a bit..... LOL !

Hubby and I went. We were under the impression the warehouse opening time was 10:00. Come to find out, the grand opening was set for 8:00 but since the line was around the building, the doors opened at 7:30.

The parking lots had cars trolling for spots. We found a parking spot when a car pulled out of the spot, after driving around for 15 minutes. The inside of the warehouse was very crowded. Costco had plenty of samples but I guess we were too late for any freebee gifts.

We were inside the warehouse for about an hour. When we came out, the parking situation was so much worse. Some guy who was walking while his wife drove their van, said they had been trying to find a parking spot for 20 minutes. As I walked with the shopping cart to return the cart to the corral, some woman said to me, "Congratulations". Too funny!

We were at BJ's grand opening and there was no where near the interest and crowds as this Clermont Costco generated.

If a man makes a statement, but there is not a woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Surprisingly, we pulled right up to one of the 12 gas pumps. This was at 9:45 in the morning of the grand opening. We were surprised to see so few cars; there was no line at all.

Default Costco membership + Costco Travel

We have been Costco members since the early 90's and love shopping there. We also use Costco travel and that saves use lots of money. You can book all kinds of travel. We like certain things at Costco and only get those things.

I didn't realize it for many years, but you can select TRAVEL on their website for car rentals. You get all the usual rental agencies, but generally better deals.
