He won't be in business long!
So sorry that you are dealing with his incompetence. You might call an attorney, or consider small claims court. There should be a legal remedy that makes him accountable.

What a terrible experience you have had and still have because you are left with a constant reminder in your home.

Local contractors have no idea how powerful this site is. TOTV is the go-to place for information and recommendations for who to use for various projects and who not to use.

Please file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Don't stop bad-mouthing these people and their company; more people need to hear about your bad experience. And yes -- you might consider taking him to small claims court, but your $10,000 may be over the allowable limit for that. You might want to check that out, however. And by all means take photos.

Please keep us posted. I hope you come out of this mess in the long run, as the winner.

I would get in touch with Seniors vs Crime. Here is a link to their offices depending on what county you are in. Office Locations

Do you care to give us the Reader's Digest version of the problems?

So sorry you had this experience. Will you redo counter-tops?

I would take him to small claims court, and report him to crimes against seniors.

Sounds like he doesn't want repeat business!

Bad to hear,,,
We used Wildwood Kitchen and Bath to do our Master Bath,, Granite on counter tops for Master and 2nd Bath, Had all the window sills done with the same granite in bathrooms and Kitchen, had the shower done,, all tile taken out, drywall,,, and redone with the Jetta Stone.
Not one problem, installers were really good and easy to work with. Loved the Job.
You never know, I have heard bad and good things about every company that does business in The Villages.

In all fairness, the OP never stated the problem or posted pictures of the problem, even when asked. There are two sides to every story and it is not fair to try to destroy a business in that manner.

Could you tell us what kind of problems you had. That would be helpful. Just saying "horrible" doesn't tell us anything.

We just had Wildwood Kitchen and Bath install granite countertop, porcelain sinks and faucets today in our Master dressing/vanity area that is almost ten feet long...we chose remnant granite and got a 15 year warranty. GREAT price compared to other quotes and a little more $ than Home Depot's quote for laminate. Tom Hart, the salesman was very professional and knowledgable...we have been remodeling our entire house and WILL use them to remodel our entire kitchen.....Superb Customer Service, shows up when they say they will.

I used Wildwood Kitchen and Bath to install $8,000 worth of Cambria quartz countertop in my kitchen and laundry room. They also installed a new kitchen sink and faucet. I had the work done about 1 year ago. The work is excellent. All countertop pieces fit precisely. All lines are exactly straight. There are no gaps. The countertop edge is milled absolutely perfectly. My neighbors were over the other day for a party. A number of them admired my beautiful countertops.

I'm sorry the OP had a bad experience. My experience with Wildwood Kitchen and Bath (WW K&B) was just the opposite. I chose WW K&B because I specifically wanted quartz countertops made by Cambria. WW K&B is one of Cambria's authorized dealers and installers.

I agree. We have had both negative and positive posts about this company.
I'm sorry for barbjohn's obvious distress.
However if someone is warning against using a business, it's only fair to post details about what problems were encountered.

Well it appears Barbjohn and Joel Smith just signed up to post negatively about one business, with very little details of the problem. I am getting the impression they are the same person, and probably a disgruntled past employee...

Based on a recommendation from GaryW in an old post I checked out Wildwood Kitchen and Bath. The thing that impressed me is that they have an actual showroom. After seeing countertop businesses in Ocala in which showroom is not a term that would ever come to mind it was refreshing to pick the sink, faucet, and disposal from the many choices exhibited. I brought in pictures and measurements of my existing kitchen countertops. They lent me quartz samples and for granite they had a huge off site selection. So far so good. But.......I never got a quote after providing all the choices. They had the catalog number for the sink, faucet, and disposal, and the style and square footage of the granite. The sale representative always seemed a bit harried, but after a week went by and a few reminders I wrote them off.

A happy ending is that I went with ARS in Fruitland Park and couldn't be happier. The owner, workers, and customer service were as good as it gets. One other thing is that they can "fix" other people's botched jobs. Good thing for the OP to keep in mind.
