Nobody said anything about a law, that's why I said I would call community watch and not the police if I saw strangers on our courtyard villa street and they weren't landscapers. You ever hear the phrase, see something, say something. That's why they're called 'Community Watch'. They can come and park on the street until the strangers leave, very simple.

I wouldn't hire just anyone... ck with who your neighbors are, some may have kids visiting or if they know of friends who have kids down looking for some easy $ for a couple of hours.. you need to get the exact date so they can work with you... then ask if they are interested in making some $ just to help unload... (for Xmass $) I bet some will be visiting and its a win win... (the parents/grandparents would LOVE to keep them busy) and great way to get to know your neighbors. OR when you GET the exact date... POST on this site...looking for some help unloading truck for a couple of hours... easy $. leave info and contact.... you'll get replies. Its more around the DATE.

You couldn't be more correct if you tried. You want someone who is insured. Can you imagine your first day staring with a lawsuit from a injury to save a couple of dollars? Village Movers is the COMPANY I use all the time. They are CHEAP, efficient and on time every time so far.

How do you handle your neighbors visitors that may be walking on your street? In our village I see walkers and runners all the time.......last thing I would do is call Community Watch on my neighbors. BTW the the walkers & runners are all strangers to me.

The original response was to the OP asking if there were any young men in the neighborhood that wanted to earn a few bucks. One poster said, you know this is a retirement community, we don't have young men hanging around the neighborhood.

Of course I wouldn't call community watch on my neighbors, because they're NOT strangers. It's called common sense.

I guess playing dumb is a good way of proving your point. I've been educated enough with life that I don't need to know what belongs and what doesn't. That guy in his 40s standing in your street looking at a package on your neighbor's porch, he's OK, he's probably just a walker.

The statement was very clear if I saw strangers in my villa area I would call community watch followed up with a capital letter post , haven’t I heard the saying if you see something say something , all I wanted to know is how people know the difference between young or old visitors and menacing strangers but again unfortunately I don’t know everything
