No case to throw out. Read post #11 from lawatha, the OP. It was a RUMOR.

I heard today from someone who works for Community Watch that the rumor about someone falling off and breaking an arm is just a rumor- there is apparently no truth to it. Sorry for getting everybody all upset about it- I was upset too at the thought of removing a statue because a child fell off of it. The better remedy would be... don't climb on it!

Yep. That new trash can looks so much better, doesn't it? NOT! I still haven't heard why the cowboy was removed. And after stirring up 13 pages of talk about it, I don't think I'll venture to speculate any further.

Last weekend we asked someone who is an employee at the Sales office in Sumter. The person said it was no rumor, the child had a head injury. If there were any possibility of legal action, they would need to remedy the situation so that no one else gets hurt it is gone, there must be a reason!

I agree with all - it is a case of grandparents and parents not watching their kids.
Please do not punish us for their neglect oh powers that be.

The idea of a class action suit against anyone stodgy enough to let kids run free or hurt themselves on statues -thus resulting in litigation against TV - is the start of a good idea.
The Village Association can meet with the Morse's about this issue. The Association could start a voluntary fund (collect contributions at the town centers). Have warning signs and press a class action suit against anyone suing TV due to their own stupidity.
Whta I write here is easier said than done, and the right publicity may go a long way. However, this is the beninnging of a brain storm on the idea.
We are not here full time (yet) but some e who is should start a thread and hotlyursue this.

If a child was hurt by climbing on statue....
.............I certainly hope for their speedy and full recovery.

GracieGirls premise that it could have gone back to shop for
remodel might be "spot-on".

Perhaps to remedy.....
... placement of the RIGHT hand.
........missing finger on the Right Hand.
.............phantom bulge in the frontal area above right hand...

.................this based on my simple "twisted" mind ...
...................................after looking at the Pic of said statue .

Click ON the Picture....( shown in Post #109 )
....................then when it "expands"..... click on it a second time....
.................................................. ..............and then click on it one more time.

What Village Association? Voluntary fund to pay lawyers?
Just what we need a lot of signs all over the place.
"some e who is should start a thread and hotlyursue this" Why not you?
Remember you cannot change stupid!

There were big signs at the Buffalo fences that said WILD ANIMALS but they still put the children on the fences. Parents/grandparents cant you read the signs. I hope they don't take down the bronze stautes.
