Think of all the grandparents that want playgrounds put in for their little darlings and the lawsuits that can come from that. A few here on the board have complained how awful it is that the developer hasn't put them. I say kudos to them for not putting them in.

Maybe we're going to have a great big ole golf cart scavenger hunt ---- find the cowboy! First place will be reserved seats at the next Rocky and the Rollers venue!

This was the statue located by the stage in Brownwood, I believe it was suppose to be Mr. Schwartz. Heard the cost for that statue alone was $50,000.
As my husband said, the steps on the bleachers are dangerous, will they tear that out the first time someone gets hurt on there and what if someone trips and fall on a curb, will they remove all the curbing next?
If it was just a rumor about the child falling, why did they remove the expensive statue?

No one knows for sure.

But many will tell you.

That's just how we are on this forum.

Brownwood is a wonderful place and how sad to learn that this statue is being removed--I have witnessed several children that are misbehaved here in the Villages and do not go downtown as much as I did before--while children are visiting--We moved here to be with other adults and enjoy the life style--parents and grandparents need to keep these children in line to keep from climbing on statues etc--so we can enjoy them--

Some of the statues in our area that have had problems with climbing, have been reinstalled with taller sloping concrete bases with do not climb plaques on them. The slope makes it hard for small children to climb and helps give arguments in any attractive nuisance claims or at least that was the explanation given in the paper. Hopefully that is what will be done in this case. Now in our town which has a lot of cast statues of people around the town, the town council decided on just the do not climb plaques.

Maybe Gary Morse decided to have it over at his place since it is a likeness of his dad...and the tikes were trying to break their necks on it?

THIS is a RUMOR...that I made up all by myself.

They should have just electrified the thing. A good ZAP would straighten out the kiddies.
