Cool Golf Fees

Has the Golf Division raised their green fees again. I have not had a chance to check but it seems they go up every year. They always blame inflation as being the reason, but the inflation rate for a couple of years has been less than 2% and the green fees have been increasing at about 10%.

It's the Snowbirds fault.

Haven't check either, Warren, but if the costs of caring for the courses goes up, well......

If the 2% you're referring to is the Govt CPI, that has nothing to do with the cost inflation associated with maintaining golf courses.

After 11:00 no change except one course.
Fall & Winter rates all went up $1.00 - $2.00

The Developer, Sumpter Morris, is just trying to squeeze every nickel out of us.

I thought we were supposed to get free golf for life.

As far as I understand we are still entitled to free golf on all of the executive courses. Fess are only for the championship courses.

Don't forget that silly Trail Fee. Not everyone can walk until they die.

Not quite full disclosure.

Good point Warren. Sometimes it seems like the prices go up but the course conditions get worse. I played Southern Star yesterday and couldn't believe how bad the greens were. There were numerous large patches on almost every green that had almost no grass on them. Obviously some sort of disease.

Not sure what you mean. I have always found El Diablo to be a pretty good shape - except for the green on #6.

Please explain.
