Default Current LSV Freebies.....

We arrived on Thursday for our lifestyle visit and here is what we were given.

Priority Resident Status
with a furnished Cabana including
2 Bikes
Golf Cart
Use of Recreation Fitness Centers

1 Lake Sumter Boat Ride
1 Movie Ticket good at Rialto or Old Mill theaters
1 round of Championship or Executive Golf
1 round of Executive or Championship Golf (yes, it really says this)
Large bucket of balls at any driving range
1 game of priority tennis
20% off total of one purchase at Banner Mercantile

We played the Palmer and Lopez courses. They are both is good shape. My only complaint would be that there is no WiFi in the cabana. I assume they want us out experiencing life in TV, but it's kind of a pain in the evening when I'd like to be catching up on e-mail and keeping in touch with home. I'm currently sitting on the front porch of the sales office in Sumter Landing, listening to the group on the square and borrowing their WiFi. It's actually very pleasant!

We're having a blast and have been blown over by how nice people have been. The couple who we played golf with today, took us home after our round to show us their home and give us a tutorial on using the online tee time program. So nice! And, the lady we met with her dog at Spanish Springs last night, led us back to Sumter Landing in her cart, though she lived in the OPPOSITE direction! Thanks, everyone. You rock!!

Alanna, Thank you for posting this information. Although I have rented 3 times in TV, and I am about to rent for the 4th time in a couple of weeks I haven't taken a LSV yet -- I think I may do that in 2013.

And you are right about the friendliness and helpfulness of most TV residents -- especially if you are a newbie on the golf cart paths and are are lost.

I'll bet you'll be back!

May I ask: You said "We" so I assume you are a couple. Did you only receive a single movie ticket and golf round, or one for each of you?
Also, may I ask what the daily cost is now for a LSV?

Hi Alanna, did my LSV in May of this year and received much the same! Plus the folks who reside in TV really do rock! I remember going to the squares and just walking up to people so full of questions for them. All were gracious and answered as best they could and gave many opinions and helpful advice! As we speak, my home is under construction and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to become a Villager! Best of luck to you and welcome! Oh-last year I got a personal MiFi because I was going to be doing quite a bit of traveling. Works great!! You can actually use 5 devices simultaneously, so it was a no brainer! Enjoy your visit!

In May 2012 the cost was 100 per day. It changes seasonally, and I believe went up to 125 in the winter/early spring.

what a difference from 2007, guess they don't need to give much since we all know its where you want to live

In 1996 I paid $249. for 5 days. Don't remember if there were freebies but I received all the money back in "Village Dollars".

Well, my husband got a good dose of the kool-aid today! He played basketball at the high school with the b-ball club and came home saying, "We need to move here!" If it wasn't for jobs and health insurance, it'd be a no brainer.

Yes, we each got all of the freebies and the cost until 10/1 is $100/nt.

Alanna,

Thanks for the info. I'll be arriving for my LSV in a couple of days and this answers many of my questions. My son will be accompanying me on this trip and I doubt that we'll be golfing but the other freebies sound nice.

For all you residents that will be answering all of my questions when we meet in one of the squares, thanks in advance.

Jim
