Please call community standards before you cut down an oak tree. They are still protected by deed restrictions in certain CDD areas and will need an approval from community standards before they can be cut.

You don’t need permission any more. Read the reply about rules from Gov. DeSantis. The oak trees The Villages planted In the older sections are now causing home foundation, driveway, breakage and sprinkler line breaks etc.

You can contact Tree Frog landscaping as they have a registered arborist on staff and they are aware of the rules and regulations for oak tree removal, as I recall, these trees cannot be removed unless they are diseased or possibly imminent danger to the home. I believe there is a significant fine involved and the tree may need to be replaced.

We had Mr. Kanani Morris's (Arborist) Tree Frog company trimming our two live oaks two weeks ago. Great work, wonderful clean up, and the trees are beautiful.
