Maybe the person delivering it had car problems, maybe someone was in the hospital, maybe they were sick.
Life happens. |

Your paper was late, and you have to post it here ?

I assure you that the articles contained therein were just about as stale, outdated, useless, or trivial as they were had you received the paper at 7 AM.

I get their paper every day, never asking for it or paying for it.
I think it's a free trial that has been going on for like 4 months now. lol. |

It’s not stealing if someone leaves it in your driveway

I am getting a free subscription for a 6-month period, but I had to call them to start it. The problem is that, in the first 3 weeks, I have yet to read it. Thinking of cancelling. But, I agree that if you are getting something you didn't order, it is stealing to not notify them. It is the same concept if money shows up in your bank account.

Don't know why.
But if you ever don't rcv the paper early in the day, you probably know the typical contents anyway...>>> - Ads - National news that is probably a day or so old - Ads - Photos of people -TV real estate - Hearing aid sections - Yada news of what's happnin' around TV - Photos - Ads - Comics - TV features to sell - Hearing aids - Ads - Yada entertainment - Selling Real Estate - More Ads - More Real Estate - More hearing aids - Ads for free ptiches - News around the country no one cares - Ads Now, understand that we get the paper everyday. So I'm not really complainin', just commentin'. |

By law, companies can't send unordered merchandise to you, then demand payment. That means you never have to pay for things you get but didn't order. You also don't need to return unordered merchandise. You're legally entitled to keep it as a free gift

Correct, but this is not the same situation. If someone is giving you something every day for 4 months, and you have no intention to pay for it, you have a legal obligation to ask the sender if this is a gift or a mistake. I think that, if the Daily Sun went to court, the court would require the homeowner to reimburse the company under the concept of equity. The same concept applies if your bank deposits $10,000 instead of $1,000 into your account. You cannot keep the money.

I think all the writer was asking was if anyone knew of a problem with the Daily Sun paper delivery that day. For example, was there a power failure at the printing plant so the presses couldn't run, or was there a computer problem where they couldn't send the stories to the press room, or if any other neighborhood got their paper late that day. Otherwise someone must have swiped their paper from the driveway, or the delivery person accidentally missed their house and finally figured it out after they had one extra. All of this extra stuff isn't what the originator asked.
