Nobody has ever said "The Daily Sun " is "Fair and Balanced" so i'm with you ,i read it with amusement, i do enjoy the sports and lifestyle sections, and the price is right. All newspapers should just report the facts and leave the spin to the rest of us. If people force their opinions(spin) on others, you will only attract like forces to you,and that's really boring and so are you.Of course, i stopped believing in the facts when my childhood was SHATTERED, when i saw my mommy kissing Santa Claus.

Its a primordial response for people to comment on issues. Would you deny their right to do so? If so then why are you on TOTV because that is exactly the philosophy/reason as to why TOTV exits and people belong. Perhaps we should use ESP when responding and then you won't be affected as much.....I just saying. GEEEZ

I was taught by Mrs. Belcher in my high school English class that every publication had a political bias. Every magazine and every newspaper that was independently owned by someone.

We had to read them and tell her the bias. That was really hard because we didn't know much about politics at that young age.

She taught me something that I have since then seen to be correct. I read a lot and do not limit myself to newspapers and magazines and periodicals that only reflect my views.

The people who own and run this place are Republican. And in fact according to the statistics, much more than half of the people who live here are too.

I think this needs to be said often so people are not surprised or angry over that fact if they are considering this place to be their home.

Excellent points Gracie.

I vote this should be moved to political.

Mrs Belcher was right but we have moved from political bias to out right publishing of misinformation...and no information is better than misinformation

Default Do not

Do not move this to political. It is not about politics (although I admit it almost got hijacked). It is about an observation of a newspaper's treatment of news. Personally I enjoy reading "the sun" when I am in TV. It is a very big paper at a very reasonable price. I agree with those that say every paper has a slant. It is our job to understand that and get our news from diverse sources. I even watch msnbc sometimes!!

Default All I'm saying

is that I thought a newspaper was clearly divided between reporting of the news, editorials, op-eds, letters to editor and advertisements. Seems like I was wrong and many folks accept that a combination of all three on the front page is okay.

Back home, my uber-liberal local paper features a lopsided liberal opinion page and political cartoons that are always anti-Republican. So, it is refreshingly nice to see cartoons that make Obama and his cronies look like the fools that they are, and columnists that are rarely featured back home. I often take copies back home to prove to the locals that not all political cartoons are anti-republican.

This is what we have had up north, too. Major newspapers in two huge metro areas are all-democrat and openly, heavily biased.

So I read what I'm interested in and leave the rest.......just as I do with the Daily Sun here. If I read something that's "news to me" and it seems awfully biased, I go looking online for other sources, both lefty and righty.

That's the great thing about the good ole USA. We can "take it or leave it".....it's our freedom of choice to read whatever the heck we want to.

It's a great country!!! Let's keep it that way!
