If you are new here, don't listen to the door knockers about water systems...they are a rip off. See what your friends and neighbors are saying about NOVA and BELIEVE THEM!

Thanks! I much prefer science based comments than anecdotal. Your reply was very helpful.

My name is Ben and my wife Beverly bought in the villages three years ago the first thing I installed was an electronic descaler water softener... NO Salt no pellets 100% maintenance free with 100% moneyback guarantee I’ve use this equipment and several of our homes with 100% satisfaction...
I purchased my first unit in 1998 we were having scaling problems on our tile in our swimming pool and we also had a water source heat pump and Scale would build up and I would have to D scale the equipment with a light acid mix.. I purchased our unit from a company called Clearwater technologies.... They guaranteed 100% satisfaction.... I have purchased a total of four units for different homes that we’ve lived in including the in the villages our home in Paxville place, mallory hills. The benefits are no maintenance we have absolutely no scale on any of our equipment including a tankless water heater that I installed six months ago (Tankless water heater when heated up rapidly build scale and those units require descaling, With the Electronic descaler Protect my water heater and all the appliances in the home I can vouch for this unit since 1998 it really works.
There is absolutely no scale buildup on any of our metal fixtures in our home in The Villages there’s no Scum or soap buildup in our shower or bathroom fixtures...No spotting on our glass shower doors... I can tell you it really works ... Best of all I was able to install the unit myself it’s truly environmentally friendly piece of equipment. The company advertises and is truly 100% satisfaction guaranteed..
If you want more information about this I would like to come to see it in my home and how it works there in the villages you’re welcome to contact me through this site.
Best of luck to you on whatever you decide....
Ben

Our first house just south of 466A had a potassium based softener, which is better for your plants than sodium based. Also had small cartridge filters. I had no problem with scale but did not like the taste of the water.

Our current house by Savannah Center had no filter when we moved in and scale buildup in dishwasher. We contacted Nova and they said the calcium levels are low enough that a softener is not needed but the scale is made worse by particulate in the water. We installed their $599 filter system and it reduced the white scale buildup. Water tastes great.

As a chemical engineer I used a magnetic device trying to eliminate the scale in large evaporators. It consisted of wrapping wire around a 3 to 10 feet length of pipe and applying the proper frequency current. Pipe sizes were 2" to 24" diameter. It never worked for me in the 10 systems I tried it on. Cost was $3,000 to $20,000 based on the pipe size. The electrical cabinet was much bigger for the 24" pipe.

Water scale on coffee pots and tea kettles can be removed by running them (or boiling) with full strength vinegar. It will take the build up out completely. I use zero water filters in a pitcher and use that water for my tea. Absolutely no buildup of lime scale because the filter removes the lime.

Zero & Brita's are fine, but your laundry dishwasher and showers still have all sediments chlorine & contaminants.

When you take shower or bath your skin absorbs those contaminants, it has been reported chlorine drys hair/skin.

Just look at the pic above ???

Thanks for info. Guess I need to have Nova look at mine. It will easily go through 1.5 ton 2 bags a month. I didn’t think that was right. I think the water level is too high. The container will hold 3 bags and all 3 will be underwater and dissolving.

$300. Not $500. Maybe you paid for installation

FYI, max two bags, we'll be happy to check the programming,
but first please check how many gallons of water a month you're using, if at 4,000 1.5 is about right, 2,000 3/4 etc.

But give us a call we're happy to check it out.

Bob
