Cleaning And Disinfecting Your Home | CDC

CDC says 1/3 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water.

received from the District office today 4/6/20->

Dear VCDD, VCCDD, BCDD, SLCDD Board Supervisors, NSCUDD Board of Directors, AAC and ARC Committee Members,

At this time, you may note that there is facility deep cleaning/disinfection work. This work has commenced within our Fire Stations and will progress through all of our staffed facilities. The work consists of misting with an aerosol has been proven effective against the Human Corona Virus, H1N1 and AIDS viruses as well as a host of other pathogens. Subsequent to VPSD and Community Watch staffed facilities, the Administration and finally the Recreation Centers are scheduled to be completed. Per Chief Cain and the manufacturer, the aerosol product’s Material Safety Data Sheets reveal that this product is safe for use within staffed areas but staff is being asked to leave the facility for the duration of the application so that their workspaces are not interrupted.

Here’s how I view what others might call my crazy OCD cleaning rituals...doing something sure feels a lot better than doing nothing. At least I feel as though I’ve tried my best. Even if my rituals are misguided or even completely unnecessary, no harm no foul. No one will never know if I slayed the microscopic dragon or not.

Here’s a question I hope someone can answer: I’ve seen news videos—primarily from Indonesia, I think—of dudes “fogging” street pavement and outdoor public park benches, etc. with some sort of handheld machine that looks like a cordless leaf blower except it shoots out a fog or steam instead of just air.. Some are also shown doing it inside bus terminals and train stations. Have you seen it? What do you think is coming out of that machine? Gosh, I hope it isn’t some dangerous chemical. The machine doesn’t have a cord to supply energy to produce a constant jet of steam. Why do you think they would even attempt to disinfect outdoor street pavers?
