The developer has a contract (I'm guessing it's something like an Option to Buy) on about 600+ acres within the boundaries of Fruitland Park. The Fruitland Park commissioners have been meeting about this.

And in addition to this, the developer already owns about 300+ acres immediately south of this, in unincorporated Lake County. This can be seen on the Lake County GIS website.

So if they already purchased the property directly governed by Lake County, they must have already "kissed and made up" with Lake County.
I went to the Lake County GIS map. How can I determine which 300+ acres are owned by the developer?

I know money can change anything but I'd like to know if that is the current situation.

Lake County needs $$$$ for road work Ex. 466A. Don't you think the Roadways around that area and Micro Racetrack Road area would be updated? It's my understand that 466 ( old thread on here from a few years back) was finished by the TV developer, plus the tax dollars that would come in.

You got the gist of it my dear, as usual!!! Bottom line finders are my favorites. I seek to be one myself at times.

Is "gist" spelled right? I don't think I ever typed it before.

"Fruitland Park officials said Thursday night that The Villages wants to move “ridiculously fast” on its purchase of property on County Road 466A

Political speak for "the envelopes are moving so fast under the table...I'm not sure if I got one."

Last I heard there was a stall over cart accessibility with this deal. Fruitland Park wanted control and Morse wants it his way.

****house....eh, swimming pool rumor...

He'll get a prime ribbing if he doesn't let Fruitland Park golf carts through.
