Toured two open houses low end $179 - 200K. Good quality - I didn't see it. Bad quality - I didn't see it. Passes code is what I seen. Not for me- needs much more disclosure of why I would want to be there. I actually think not being connected to The Villages (less hustle and bustle) would be a better sales feature than if it is the same. Why would you want to be there. The few premiere houses (and I said few) that are around the entrance Oaks and ponds were nice.
I drove around there today also and was impressed with the entrance and the short area to the right as you come in...but certainly not the rest.

In fact, the houses being built looked closer to each other and on flatter terrain...than almost anywhere else in the existing Villages.

NOT impressed in the least.

A big question I have, is why the street signs have a logo that says... "City of Wildwood" (est??) on each of them?

So you know where to send your taxes, of course.

Fenney was annexed into the city of Wildwood as most of the other new lands under development.

Don't think anyone cares if you are impressed, they do care that those that want to move there are impressed. You do know that The Villages are part Wildwood, part Fruitland Park and part Lady Lake right?

And other areas are in Sumter, Lake or Marion counties but not in the above mentioned cities.

I think it is a smart move to keep all of The Villages connected via golf carts. It is a big part of what The Villages is. Individuals will decide how far they want to travel by cart.

Default Fenney golf courses

There are going to be at this time two executive nine hole courses in Fenney. They are not championship courses. When I took the tour just a few weeks ago they have no plans to add championship courses in that area.

And last week they had no "plans" to connect areas south of 44 to the rest of TV. The developers are under no obligation to share their "plans" with us, but just as it was logical to guess that there would be a connection to the new southern villages, it is logical to guess that more golf courses are coming for 20,000 new homes.
A starter at one of the championship courses told me there would be no more golf courses(champ) since the starters "always" know 3 years in advance. One of the posters on the previous pages stated he expected 3 more champ courses, and he is a manager at one of our existing champ courses. Bottom line----the developers have not had a conversation with either of these people, much less the rest of us.

Okay, it looks like y'all have decided that getting past 44 won't be a problem. But the Florida Turnpike is in the way also. Will it be worth it for the villages to spend lots of money (millions) just so golf carts can make the trip?

they already own the land with the bridge over the Turnpike. They bought that few years ago. Its a cattle crossing but I would bet that soon it will be a cart crossing.

I hear that once reaching the Gulf, they plan on creating more land by filling it in with rock and dirt. The goal is to reach all the way to the Mexican shore line.

Nope. I have it on good authority that Cuba is the goal.

And what will they do if they reach Mexico---line the border with CYVs so there will be a wall????
