Also there would be no cancellation points for people just not showing up.
??? Try that statement again please....it doesn’t make sense. Digital check in is not “remote check in”. You’d still have to be present to check in. Cancellation points get assigned to those who don’t show up.

I tried using the “Wallet” app which stores your card & barcode so it can be scanned. The rec center employee told me they weren’t allowed to use it.

I like the fact that I have to show my ID. As stated before....Batteries run down, etc.
Paper and pencil will be around forever. Remember when we were going to be a paperless society? Yeah that did not work. Why because computers crash. Etc. I don't even like getting my bills paperless. Call me behind the times and I am fine with that. Don't get me wrong I like having a cell phone. Great when I need direction. Or calling for help when my car breaks down. Lots of good reason to have one but then I draw the line. I don't want to rely on my phone.

Why do people move here and want to make it the way it is there? Something's not right. Maybe genetics?

I have a Tracfone, no contract, cost about $10 a month and only on when I want to use it. I'm freed form one device, now if I could just get rid of the TV.

We have been coming to TV since 07, I never thought people were in the dark ages as you are posting. According to posts you must really be surprised that residents can function at all, being they don’t have any tech savvy. Some choose to be off the grid after many years of work, but still have that knowledge

What an insult to this community

We have the most diverse community that I know of. Retired Military, Physician’s, NASA, Educator’s, Engineer’s, Medical Staff, and the list goes on.

I’d rather carry a small card with me to the rec center than lug my phone around and have to find a safe place to store it

"Allow this technology"? It's probably more along the lines of ... a programmer would need to build it, test it, maintain it. Perhaps you could do that and offer them the technology.

i like the idea of not being controlled by technology. half the population are staring into phone's all day. if there's a need to go online, i use my pc.

Thinking the same thing. And we can have vaccine IDs but no voter IDs. Just think about it

Not all of us carry our phones everywhere we go. It is much easier to put my ID in my pocket or golf cart.

I attached a sleeve to the back of my phone (sticks and is very thin) and I keep my ID in there. So if I have y phone, I have my ID with me. And I don't have to worry about battery.

Are you willing to pay extra for this; because there is no tech fairy going to provide this. There are going to be serious equipment and software costs that will be required up front and training costs for staff and residents. All to replace a simple system that works well. Who would be paying for all this? All of us. No thank you. Keep it simple and cheap.
