Yes, but someone who is already lost, or at least "turned around" doesn't need to be looking at their phone while driving.

I've never figured out the GPS in my car, and now it's a bit older, so outdated anyway, but I often pull over and check the map on my phone or iPad when traveling.

We've been here over 2 years now, so I pretty much just zip around wherever I want with few problems. I'm still finding new routes, however.

That is when you have to pull over and check the bark on the trees for moss.

Carry a flash light.

Yes, there are, but for those of us who are directionally challenged, which way on Buena Vista do I want to go? I was staying in Collier for a couple of weeks with my 83 year old mom and we wanted to Golf Cart it up to LSL, some nice gentleman let me follow him all the way up. However, on the way back, was following signs back to Collier (I thought), didn't realize I had gone in the wrong direction until I got to 466

You can get a stick-em-up compass for the golfcart at Walmart for less than ten dollars and stick-em-up lights for the ceiling to read it.

But even knowing what direction you are heading it is still tough for new folks to find their way in the dark.

Yes, we used this tried and true method when we first moved in. And yes, there is a learning curve-- not to worry.

Most modern cars have a comps and all smart phones have one you can download. No need to spend money on more signs in the Villages. You will not get lost forever.
