Default Discounted Cigs

Does anyone know a place in TV that sells name brand cigarettes at a discount? I lived in south Florida recently and find that cigs are about $10 more per carton here.

Why smoke cigarettes at all? People around you do not like the second-hand smoke, inhaling all that tar and nicotine shortens your life, and it is a very expensive vice.

for those of us who smoke, we do so because we enjoy it. For those who choose to indulge in alcoholic beverages I assume one does so because of enjoyment and that also can be a very expensive vice.
The cheapest place that I have found in this area for cigarettes is the gas station at Walmart on 441.

I really enjoyed smoking or at least I thought so, as it turned out I was very very addicted, I smoked for 40 years or so.
I really understand your position having been there.
Today I have part of one lung and am on oxygen 24/7. I can only walk about 100 ft with a cane. My mother was so addicted she died with a cigarette in her hand and an oxygen tube in the other.

I know you have it in you to find a way to change your life , I did , it's been 5 years.
it was very hard for the first 3 months then it became much easier and then I had no more cravings.

Hugs to you. So glad you are here with us in this beautiful place.

I quit about ten years ago.

It is VERY hard to quit and I think it must get even harder the longer it goes on.

You have started my day with a good feeling, Gamby. The happiest of New Years to you and yours.

The OP asked where to buy cigs at a discount - not for a lecture. Once again people it's about personal choice not what we choose as individuals. And please no posts about second hand smoke!

Don't fuss at me this morning kiddo. I wasn't hurtin' nobody. and I wasn't lecturing. Everybody knows what the choices entail.

I am in a bad mood anyhow. I am going to the dentist.

Gomoho is correct.... the OP asked where to buy cigarettes, not advice on if/how to quit smoking.

Please try to stay on topic. If you wish to discuss the issue of smoking, second hand smoke, etc, feel free to start a new thread.

My friend bought one of those machines that rolls your cigs. Got it at Ciggy's on 27 in Leesburg. You can also go in there and they will match your brand and roll them for you. It comes out to about $21. a carton.

Cool

There's a discount smoke shop in the small shopping center at Rolling Acres and RT441. It's right next to the Verizon store.

They had moderately cheaper prices, last time I was there.

If you know someone coming back from up north and driving through Kentucky, have them stop and get you a couple cartons. I think they have about the cheapest cigarettes in the country.

No lecture but.... I smoked cigarettes for more than 40 years and switched to e-cigarettes about 2 years ago. They're much cheaper than regular cigarettes and [for me], work great. If you'd like more information, just PM me.

Happy hunting....

It's not a choice When the tobacco Co's add chemicals to make them much more addictive .
Adding ammonia makes them 50 to 100 times more addictive depending which report you read.

When I was about 11 years old I lived in the projects ; Every week the tobacco station wagon (No name mentioned) would come around and offer free cigarettes to all us kids (Hundreds of kids) We would have gang fights over cigarettes..
When you begin smoking , usually in your teens it is a choice even though
at that age you are immature. Once addicted it's very hard to quit .
You think it's a choice when you smoke through a hole in your neck ?
So don't give me that bull about Ïts'a choice".
This term was coined by the tobacco Co's to avoid law suites.

As far as ä lecture I only thought I might offer some encouragement to stop
not to lecture.

Sorry if it was taken otherwise.

Not just in the projects. During the "Mad Men" era,I was at Duke University in Durham, N.C., a tobacco town. There was always someone on campus handing out free cartons. And a carton was only $1.25 to begin with.
