I started on a plane from California to Philly when I was 14. You got a meal and a mini-pack was of 4 ciggies was included with each meal. By the time I got off the plane, I was hooked and have been ever since.

I buy my ciggies at either Walgreen's or CVS. Marlboros are $53.00 a carton at these two places. Cheapest I've found for cartons in TV itself. Don't even think of buying at the grocery stores or Wal-Mart. Way too expensive.

Also, check your brand online. There are many vendors selling Russian versions of your brand. Not bad but the taste will be slightly off. You can also get coupons at your brand's website.

If I remember right (and at my age that's iffy), on our last cruise ship vacation to the Caribbean, a carton of cigs ran under $30 in Cozumel. I don't recall pricing at the other ports, and I'm not sure how many cartons you can bring back state-side, but...Hey.....any excuse for a cruise, especially this time of year.

We used to get cigarettes from Russia. When they advertise Marlboros, they really aren't. I was told they don't have to follow any trade mark laws. Same thing in the Caribbean. Just FYI. Some of them aren't bad for the price.

last 2 cruises we took I bought pall mall for $15.50 per carton on the ship. Bought 6 carton on each cruise. Now that's a deal & a good excuse for booking a cruise

take the money that you spend on cigarettes and put it towards a smoking cessation program.

I'm sorry, but why do so many people want to turn this thread into a "save the smoker" thread ???

I was wondering the same thing. If I asked which supermarket had the best and cheapest chocolate cake, would I get a lecture on how eating chocolate cake is bad for your health? Or if I complained about the price of gas for my car, would I be advised to buy a golf cart?

I think this is how trolls get started. It makes me want to start a thread "Where do I buy medical marijuana?"

as a non smoker i do not have to be subjected to your second hand smoke...anywhere. yesterday at the craft fair there were several smokers...cigars also.....disgusting...i think that all smoking should be banned on public streets and sidewalks.

And I think all whinners, people with bad breath, BO, perfume, gas carts, dogs, cats, outdoor music, bad dancers, and loud shirts should be banned too. They offend me and it's disgusting, and I don't have to subjected to them. Where's the glorious ACLU when I need them? GET REAL

travelguy - i think if you are in the vicinity of a smoking area - you do have to be subjected to the possibility of second-hand smoke until you vacate the area or the drifting smoke. no?
