Not as gloom and doom as MSM makes it appear. The monies will move from one account to another. Those revenues will not be lost, merely show up in another column.
But nice attempt on their part to back Disney and slam Desantis.
Orange and Osceola counties will be impacted at first, but they will bounce back with revenue gains.

I really was not going to post this, probably my last close to political post. I will just go back to helping people.
Yeah what you have done is give some of the a$$hats on here a platform to slam the governor

After reading article, and personally having no dog in the fight, I thought this was the most telling comment.

State Senator Jeff Brandes, a Republican, also expressed worries over Disney's liabilities, saying: "My concern is this bill essentially wipes away Disney's $2 billion of debt," adding: "If the legislative intent here is ultimately to attack them, then why would we want to cancel $2 billion of debt?"

But is that true???? Who knows????

And if it is, why would the state of Florida allow Disney to run up a $2 billion debt????
And how would dissolving their special arrangement "cancel" debt already incurred???
Smell test anyone?????

Hope the link works, if not do a Google search, the Florida taxpayers could be on the hook for $2 BILLION if this goes through.

I hope this does not go completely political.....
Don’t believe any thing from MSN or any others. Wait and see what the County Tax Collectors say.

Default Maybe Church status next?

It’s all political….hide the truth, go back in the closet, goodbye Mickey Mouse, for what? Maybe we should look to make up the revenue by taking away the religious tax exemptions also? It’s all about , power, greed, and getting even now. That is what it is all about.

Sadly, THEY apparently do not have a right to say what they believe. There is NO doubt why this action is being taken, it is a government action to retaliate against a speech that the government disagrees with - isn't that covered someplace in the constitution? Isn't free speech something we hear all the time on this forum. Or is freedom of speech only free when one agrees with the person being censored?

I hope some will look beyond the reason this action is being taken and see it is a direct attack on democracy in our country and a direct violation of the constitution.
Disney is going more then exercising their Freedom of Speech. Some companies think they are to big to bring them in check.

this is not a political response.
1. Let's hope reasonable people eventually make reasonable decisions for all our benefit.
2. This is why, we as a nation, must always think twice about any individual whom we give the power of the nuclear trigger to, regardless of political affiliation.

Default Disney

Florida never should have let Disney be a controlling factor in our Government.

Good point.

Mickey & Co. aren't going away, Once the smoke clears and the howling lessens, it is back to business as usual.
