I get so tired of the people who just bash, bash, bash, and I may have just lashed out.

I am sorry.
Please tell me the post # of post posted by Bogie Shooter that expresses his disagreement with your opinion.

I apologize if I am misunderstanding terms here but I thought it was "Village" centers that had a gathering building et al. In my area, that would mean that Bradenton and Manatee would be Village Centers. Neighborhood Centers would always have the mail boxes and a pool. There would be some other activities but on a small scale. Once again, this would be Gilchrist or Hillsborough for me.

Pools and mailboxes aside, I'm really more concerned about a couple of other things, like where and how these new "Villages of Villas" will connect to the existing streets for access. I know there will be entrance gates for both off of 42, but where and how will they connect inside the Villages?

Unlike Gracie, I proudly live N of 466 and choose this area because of the look of the mature tree's and well kept homes. They are now planning to drop in 300 brand new stucco courtyard villas that will lessen, I believe, the appeal and aesthetics of living "up north" in The Villages.

There is a possibility that The District and The Developer define "rec centers" differently?

It has been stated by The Developer that access will be:

- eastern part: SR 42 for vehicular traffic (although I have also read reference to using Mulberry Ln past the VA Clinic). As for golf carts, I am unclear on that, but looking at maps it will either have to be via Mulberry Ln or come in the back side of the Va to Mayfield Pl.

- western part: SR 42, only for vehicular traffic and via Clearview Ave for golf carts.

I live in The Haciendas of Mission Hills and we have a "neighborhood rec center". It is a postal station, a swimming pool, one bocce court, one shuffleboard, and one horseshoe pit. There is no freestanding building except the restroom for the pool and a storage area. The new villas, Antrim Dells and Aden have similar neighborhood rec centers.

That is exactly what Gary Moyer described at the Mulberry Grove meeting the other day for the new villas, although he did not mention bocce, shuffleboard or horseshoe pit.

Due to the turnout at today's district 4 meeting, maybe 20 people, this after a meeting that filled Mulberry Grove Rec Center, I have reconsidered my position on the issue. Mr Developer, do what you want, I could care less.

I might also add that we have 315 Villas in our neighborhood. That may be the largest Courtyard neighborhood in TV. I'm not sure.
