champion - we are renting by the month at La Hacienda hotel in SS. Gracie - I stuck my hand out the window to wave at you Cinci gals when we drove past. I love your radio station 94.9 Rewind! Kathie - it's hard to believe, but yes we are home!

champion - it was the cheapest rental by far that we could find...and we didn't need much, just a place to lay our head at night so we could be out house hunting during the day. The room has a fridge, microwave and sink. Free internet, cable tv, coffee and muffins in the morning. You get the room cleaned once a week, fresh towels and linens included. No security deposit needed or cleaning fee. All this for $698 plus tax per month. Use of the pool at the Holiday Inn express also. Plus walking distance to Spanish Springs. (only a couple of blocks)

Have watched your struggle/process and am so glad you've made it. I'm sure you will find just the right home at the right time.

Keep posting since I still live vicariously through all of your journeys (we have to wait on the good Lord and our financial advisor to let us know when we can move....so for now I enjoy everyone elses adventure).

Well, we narrowed the search down to 4 preowned homes, but there was still something that we didn't like with each one of them. So we decided that we are going to build a house. We have picked out the lot, and we are signing on it today. It is in Bonita on Bucksport Ave. (who names these streets?)

We have decided that we want to build a closed kitchen Whispering Pine, with a 4' extension on the garage and a 2' extension on the front of the house. Now I have to pick out all the other stuff...which cabinets, tile, carpet, etc.... I have a feeling that everything I'm going to want will be upgrades!

Glad you made it thru the 1st phase of many more to come. Upgrades, surround sound, water softener, solar whatever, house vac, and on and on....
Golf cart in there someplace too.

Actually in your case it was good to be homeless. Good luck in your adventure. The fun is about to start.
