I assume you have heard about the 'poison lake' near Tampa and the threat of contaminated water escaping.
We like explore the new neighborhoods. A few weeks ago we rode our bikes from Bradford over thru St. Catherine, went along Meggison past the power lines, and reached the end of the paved road. We noticed a rectangular lake off to the left. It had a high barbed-wire fence around it and some kind of waterproof covering along the sides. You can easily find it on Google maps. What do you think it is? |

The covering is the liner that holds the water in, all of the man made ponds have that but they cover the top with dirt so you can't see it. I doubt very much that anything toxic would be held so near to wetlands. Probably water that is needed for work over there or for emergencies.

Using Google Earth, the land slopes to the East from this pond, which appears to be away from the area being developed. No idea what this is but the water appears to be clear you can see what appears to be ripples in the lining.

We lived in Country Club Hills during Irma. You couldn't use the bridge because the pond flooded around it. SO, not the same, but water is everywhere.
