I don't care about politics in Lichtenstein. Therefore I don't google information about it or follow websites that address it. Solves my problem.

We live south of 44 and we actually take long cart rides on the weekends to go explore the northern areas. We’ve been across the SS bridge twice in the past few weeks. There’s some really neat things to see all over TV. We stop at various rec centers and the squares too get water, play pool, etc. while we’re out and about.
There’s no need for a north v. south division. All of us pay for access to the entire Villages community, so we use it! |

I’m just the opposite. I rarely travel north of 466a, and hardly ever go north of 466. Why go north when it’s old looking, more traffic, much slower traffic, sharing Morse with golf carts (dangerous) whereas we have just the opposite of that down here: walking/biking only trails, trails that are beautiful separating ponds and preserves, great condition golf courses, and updated home designs.
I like Sumter Landing and Brownwood, never go to Spanish Springs. I think the best looking area in all of TV is the Fenney area and that is south of me but now easy access because of the new bridge. If you don’t like something don’t do it! |

I love Don's videos - very informative and of course I care - it's The Villages and he doesn't just do Eastport. I care about all of TV. Sounds like you may have gotten out on the wrong side of the bed this morning way up there on 441?

This is what happens when you become old and miserable. My solution is you stay up north enjoy the rest of your short life.

Why do people care about what is going on in Ukraine, or California, or the Ivy League Collages? Or Nascar, or Football (both kinds)
People are often interested in more than just their own little community. Go ahead and not be interested, that is fine. And honestly, with your attitude, people are hoping you do what you say and stop caring enough to stop complaining. |

With that said, I am equally excited and engaged in the changes north of 44, especially watching the changes occurring in Spanish Springs. I live in Richmond, and have no qualms taking my cart up to Spanish Springs (I’m in two clubs up there, plus I frequently attend events at the Sharon and Savanah as well as cooking demonstrations at Nancy Lopez Legacy Restaurant). I also enjoy First Responders Rec Center, and occasionally dine at Orange Blossom CC. I think I speak for the majority of Villages residents who are “engaged’ and take advantage of all that this wonderful community has to offer, regardless if it’s “north” or “south”. If something here were to annoy or disturb me, I suppose I would stop watching videos about it, and wouldn’t bother taking the time to amp up my resentment by posting about it. Retirement is wonderful, and I like to count my blessings everyday that I am so fortunate to be living in this one-of-a-kind community (yes, I’m still saying that almost two years in - that cool-aid effect hasn’t worn off yet!)

Those southern areas are going to be spectacular in about 10 years when when all built out with the conveniences of grocery shopping ( other than Publix), restaurants, other shopping, and medical services. At our ages now, we’re not willing to live in a construction zone and have to travel for the day-to-day needs. We love our location “between the sixes”, and while we’ve checked out many areas south of 44 over the past couple years, it’s still too remote for us. YMMV.
It seems like the developer learned and corrected “mistakes” previously made, ie, no more mobile homes, dedicated walking, biking, and cart paths. We want the Villages to succeed in whatever ventures they undertake, even though we chose a home outside of the technical boundaries. As the Villages go, so goes the entire area. |

Speaking of north vs south, according to my TV sales agent, Central Parkway (located south of the Turnpike and running east/west) will, in the far off future, become the center of The Villages.
