There is a strong smell, like sulphur, outside. As soon as I turned onto Pinellas, I smelled it, and if I go into my garage now, I can still smell it. Any ideas?

Not here in Caroline, but I do remember smelling a sulfur like smell one time when playing the Truman golf course. We aren't on a sleeping volcano, are we??.

Not sure what it is or where it's from.

Default Stinky....

We were coming back from Turtle Mound tonight about 7:30 and noticed a smell on Pinellas. I said to my husband " I'm glad it doesn't smell like that at our house. Low and behold when we got home I went out on the lanai and it smelled just like the other smell!! I got a laugh out of it. Don't know what it is though.

Here are some clues to determine where it might be coming from.....

Rotten egg smell: Guide to diagnosing the cause of sulphur smells, sewer gas smells, rotten egg odors in buildings

p.s.
When we lived in Satellite Beach Florida in 1972, there always was a smell of sulphur when the underground sprinklers would go on.
It was the water. Horrible odor.

We did not notice anything like that at all in THE VILLAGES.
The home we rented for a month had the sprinklers and the water had no odor at all.

I know there are no septic tanks in THE VILLAGES, but could it be coming from an adjacent town, carried by the wind??

I don't smell anything but this lightening storm is giving me the creeps. It's been going on for hours.

The smell still existed when I took my morning walk in the Village of Charlotte.

There is no sewer treatment plant south of 466A.

All wastewater treatment for s of 466A is done at the facility near the Bacall golf course.
