Soapy water will kill all insects.......not instantaneously because it takes time for the soap to penetrate their exterior skeleton.

When we lived in Ohio (Cincinnati) you could go out to our screened deck in summer and there was anywhere from 20 to 40 stink bugs on the screen. Very wooded area behind the house. Spray bottle 1/3 dawn soap 2/3 water. Very effective, one quick spray and they were done.
