Oh, PS:
We got the first golden when the second child left for college. That was 18 years ago, and we're still a happy couple. I don't buy that cr**p about getting a dog because you can't stand being alone with each other. We've always have pets, for 42 years, and we've always been best friends, too. So there.
with CFrance. Animals bring joy. To all pet lovers in TV

Just because a dog cannot walk or walk far doesn't mean he/she needs to be put down. Would you put down a person because they can't walk? No greater love than that of a dog and those of us who love them would do anything for them. Life is much better with them in our lives and it's great that there are so many here in TV.

My Westie is 12 years old, cannot walk too far, around the block is her limit. I got a doggy stroller for her and she loves it, she can ride along with me and my other dog, who has tons of energy. She certainly is not ready to be put down, just a little old and wants to be with the family. And I don't think there are too many dogs!! I love the dogs here.

Dogs have been around giving an example of the PERFECT way to act for us humans for hundreds of years. They don't notice your color, your weight, your drinking or smoking habits. They love you unconditionally. They don't care which party you vote for nor even if your breath is a little filled with garlic from dinner. We should all own a dog and emulate their actions for the benefit of all man. I have learned how to be a better man from my dogs over the years than from other humans. If you have never had the enjoyment of a dog in your life, don't try to understand this.

My point is if my dog was not able to walk but still enjoyed his life I would walk him in a stroller or carry him in the fresh air. I've experienced unconditional love from my dogs and so I strive to give back that love in any way I can. It's been proven that having a pet is a huge stress reliever and we now know that stress is a precursor to disease.

As to how many dogs in TV, my answer is there's not enough.

So well said. And they are the best thing you can do for your kids. When they hate the world along with mom and dad, "Fido" is their pillow. And again, if you have never had a pet, you cannot possibly understand.

I meet more people when out with my dog on a leash than I ever met with my babies in their strollers!

I read on the internet that in some Villages dog ownership is mandatory.

I know.
There is a cult of dog haters that always post in threads that are about dogs when they don't like dogs but they collect dog poop. They are a secret society. They put on a poop mask a dance @ midnight and drink dog poop wine.
They are deniers. They get mad. Do not ever respond to a post from one of them. They will just try to get you mad. They are high on dog poop wine.
They hate the dog, but the love the poop. It is sad. It is best to just ignore them. It is an addiction they break them self.

I just spit coffee all over my keyboard. I may frame your post and put it on my wall.
