Question Dogs drinking from water fountains at the mail station

at the mail station? Saw this yesterday, guy holds dog up to drink from fountain. I like dogs but don't think having them lick water from the water fountains are very thoughtful of the owner.

More and more people are treating their dog better than people.

I've never done this, but theoretically, the tongue should only be in contact with the stream of water (same with humans) so I don't see a difference.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.

I would hope that no one drinking from a water fountain (bubbler where I come from)would put their mouth on the spout. If you do, you'd probably catch a lot more from humans than dogs......just sayin......

Although I have never thought of using a water fountain for the dog, logically, it really shouldn't make a difference. Unless people are putting their mouths on the metal part where the water comes from which of course would be poor form for the next person who gets the prior person's germs.

There is a spigot at our postal center. If a dog can figure out how to drink from a stream of fountain water, he/she could figure out the spigot.

Default Gross

I don't drink from public water fountains, swim in public pools or get on any of the hot tubs. People, in general are gross. And it has become apparent that many people do treat dogs better than humans. I give up.
