Now this is going to stir up a BIG stink. What about all that prime real estate taken up by golf courses? That could be turned into lots of home sites.

Home sites that probably would not be sold.

How about next to bowling alleys and dog parks? Would the homes sell then?

Better yet, the prime real estate taken up by golf courses could be turned into dog parks!

And Fumar, I would never use the word "innocent" to describe you!

Theoretically, dog's could be a real problem on the square. But are they? If they were, Morse the Magnificent, (Fumar's bro?), no doubt would ban them. Would he not?

So, why are we complaining about ...nothing?

...and, doesn't JimJoe have a point that we tell people not to come here and try to change the rules and then we try to change the rules we don't like?

... and, TH, aren't people animals? Do you always trust them? Even Fumar? even ...me?

... and Fumar, was that you there last night at the Rocky & the Rollers' concert? Shouldn't you have been there?

p.s., I do not bring my dog to the squares because he's too small and might be trampled or trip someone.

In late March the wife and I were at Lake Sumter square and the Greyhound rescue people were there in search of donations. While one of the dogs was checking out some of the doves in the shrubs the bird tried to take flight but was snatched out of the air by one of the dogs. By the time they got the bird out of the dogs mouth it was dead. There were many people observing this event and when the bird was found to be dead many of the young ladies there started to sob as if they had just witnessed a murder. I assume donations went down after that but as far as dogs at the squares we can take or leave it.

Personally, My wife, and I, enjoy seeing the dogs, and most are quite well behaved, and that alone is refreshing.

However, at Market Square recently, we witnessed one of the larger dogs, go after one of the little dogs, and it was quite disturbing, and quite noisey. Now I'm not a lawyer, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, and it would not surprise me one bit if anything does happen regarding any banning of dogs, it would have something to do with lawsuits. Especially if somebody should get bitten while trying to separate a dog fight.

The threat of a lawsuit can stop anything, right? How did this country get that cowering position?

I was just kidding about the turning the golf courses into home sites. I just had to say it. We don't play golf, but I can see where we might have to at least give it a try when we move. By the way, we have two small dogs and I can't see us bringing them to the squares. They are friendly enough, but they are also too inquisitive and would be a total hassle.
