Default Donating a Singer Sewing Machine

I did so well donating the jigsaw puzzles I thought just maybe someone or a craft group could use my Singer Sewing Machine.

It is a Complete Stylist 7467S. It is supposed to thread the needles automatically, but it does not. It folds down into a dark wood stand. I have what we used to call "notions"; threads, needles, other supplies for sewers, along with a bag of fabric.

I tried to donate this to the crafters from the Luthern Church for their Care Bears, but never heard back from them.

It will need to be picked up from my home.

It is nice what you are trying to do rather than trashing stuff that may be useful to others. I'm not at all religious yet, I'm sure I have a guardian angel. Things just seem to end right.

The Lutheran Church and Care Bears. Do not think bad of them. It is an amateur group. Perhaps, better at sewing than administration. Choice, call again? Fate?
Perhaps, they have too many sewing machines and someone who needs it more will end up with it. I know nothing about sewing machines. My grandmother had and used a treadle operated singer. It was kept like new. It was gorgeous and she did gorgeous work with it. My mother bought a singer electric machine in the 60's. My grandmother did a better job with her 1900s machine. I think my sister has my mother's machine.
I seem to recall, like yours, it was self threading and like yours it did not work. LONG TIME AGO but I seem to recall you need to buy the proper needles for the self threading to work. If, I am right it is proof not all the stuff in my head is useless.

I have no interest in trying to sell the Singer I would like to see it go where it could do some good. There must be dozens of people in the area who could use a good Singer Sewing Machine for either themselves, or their grandchildren. I am sure someone will come up with a great suggestion.

My grandmother taught me to make my own clothing on a treadle machine, I loved that thing, no bells or whistles, just a great sewing machine.

Try calling Live Oaks Community Church and ask them if they could use it for their Operation Christmas Child, Filler Factory. They do round the year crafts to fill the boxes for Samaratin's Purse. Maybe they could use it. Filler Factory meets at the Brownwood Campus off from Hwy 44....Buena Vista used to cross over but they've redirected that so folks have to take the driveway near a medical facility. I don't have the phone # but you could google their website.

You can try Operation Shoebox. They make the bags that are sent to our soldiers.
