Sometimes I read what is posted and am so grateful I am getting to know people and their views, thoughts and reactions by posts first and not at a social event initally. You really CAN get to know who is reactionary, who has their 'fall back topic', who has feelings easily hurt, who is rational or peace making, etc from just reading posts. I feel like it will give me a head start when I see everyone in person. I am grateful I know with whom I should just smile, nod and make my way to the other side of the room as soon as possible.

Nice post and obviously from the heart. I will print that one out and try to read it next time someone make the hair on my neck stand up. Ya can't change anyone and I wish not to give an impression of me when I am being a bad boy.

Likewise. If someone doesn't have a brain in their head I will just smile and keep walking. Although, why would I even be at a social event where people drink?

Yes! Dark lager, and white wine....YUM!
After dealing with solving people drama problems and family drama problems all week long............ a happy hour at TV with either of the above beverages is a nice stress release! And it is even better with TOTV friends!!!!

Good choice. That's a fight you can win. I always say, "stick to what you know".

Way too many off topic and personal posts in this thread to try to clean it up.

So, we ask that all return to the original topic which appeared to be a light hearted discussion about posting on TOTV after having a few/couple drinks.

If civility cannot be restored, the thread will be closed.

After reading this entire thread, I think I need a drink. I'm going out later for a few. Not driving. I'll post later this evening and see if it's different.

TGIF - home safe and sound with my husband - enjoying a bottle of wine. If I drink the whole bottle I'll probably be on here later slurring my posts!!!

I wrote earlier promising to write again after a “few” to see if my post will be different. I think it will be. I see that TOTV calls me Junior Member. That makes me feel young. I’m back home at 8 o’clock. I used to go out at 8 o’clock. That makes me feel old. But I’m learning older is better in many ways. You never have to go to work the next day. And even if you did, you would be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as opposed to bleary-eyed and stinky. But, back to the question at hand. Um, what was the question? Oh I remember. Yes I do believe my posts are slightly different after a few beers. Not to mention it took me 3 hours to type this.
