there was a driveway party in our area yesterday, and a person brought a large punch filled with the THC liquid that she purchased at Winn-Dixie, it was very plainly labeled and smaller cups were provided, some of the people that were there were offended by it being brought to the party. My thoughts on it were what’s the difference between that and an alcoholic punch that is plainly labeled both are legal. Everyone that had it enjoyed it., there were some people there that had never had dabbled in absolutely anything like this. Needless to say they certainly had the giggles and we’re smiling and complained because of the cups were not big enough. The person that bought it had it cleared with the host beforehand. For some reason, I think it will certainly be a permanent fixture of future driveway parties in our area. of course, a couple of the women in the clique thought it was terrible. Needless to say there was not much food left once the munchies set in.

The THC in those drinks is derived from Hemp plants, which contain almost none of the type of THC that produces a psychoactive high. Those drinks are basically a placebo, and are a wast of money, as one can purchase as good or better tasting beverages at a much lower price.

I am amazed of the amount potheads and druggies in this country? Amazing how many can’t get through day without crutch.

I’ll go along with that, as long as alcohol is included in the crutch list. It’s far more addicting and harmful than marijuana. There is absolutely no good reason why one is legal at the federal level and the other isn’t!

As far as "waste of money", that would be a personal choice, just like spending $10 for a glass of wine at the square. |

Of course. Somebody always has to be complaining. Why should they care? If they don't want to partake, no one is forcing them; to project their moral objections onto others is rude. Do they object to beer? Wine? MYOB or stay home.

Also, with no nasal congestion that often comes from the histamines in alcohol (that's why some people need Cpap machines) so, I sleep better and there is zero hangover. Close-minded, crabby people have always been that way.....now, they're just old, closed-minded and crabby. |

THC versus booze. This likely was prepared by some PR folks for the industry, but it's an interesting read for anyone concerned with potential liver damage. Anomaly Beverages | THC Drinks | Cannabis-Infused Drinks | Zero Alcohol Seltzers | Does THC Hurt the Liver Like Alcohol? article

Don't talk to me. You may get drunk.

What’s wrong with not getting “a buzz” from anything at all? You’re going to leave the party and what if you get in an accident? Punch, or get punched, in the nose? They don’t print it but you know every time there’s a story about someone getting into trouble somewhere they were drunk. What about that man that killed his wife that’s still sitting in jail has to be thinking every day what if he hadn’t had that drink, or why didn’t they have seatbelts on. I know I’m preaching to the choir but come on, wake up!

No, I would be careful if I was around heavy drinkers,
because you never know what they might do, and most likely they don’t know either!

Many studies have been done of late and the negative impact of Pot is starting to become visale. Studies indicate it is harmful, especially in young people. We're talking of serious psychosis and neurological damage. Even at it's core it drains initiative and causes reduced hippocampal neurogenesis, potentially causing memory deficits and cognitive decline.
Personally, I don't really care if others damage their bodies, but to say it's a medical cure and harmless sounds familiar, like what the tobacco companies did for decades. We just don't learn. Last edited by Methos; 03-26-2026 at 09:33 PM. |
