First, I have lived here over 5 years and have not encountered drunks at the town squares. I go to either Lake Sumter Landing or Spanish Springs at least once a week. It is a great way to spend a little time and to socialize - yes, with a drink - and with other Villagers.

Second, the OP had said in his/her first post that the "drunk" neighbor was not a nice person but later said he/she would be with the "drunk" in his garage while the "drunk" drank an 18 pack of beer in an hour. Sound completely fabricated to me.

I think most alcohol is made from grain. That probably makes it plant based, so I think he's good !
