lololol Me too!! I am going to practice in front of a mirror yelling at people. I used to be good at it when the kids were little. I am also hungry, but for a meatball sandwich.

You see, people's minds can be changed. Pretty soon we will be all sounding like we are from...

you get it.

Confrontation with people in golf cart or cars in my view is neither the right or the prudent thing to do. However the one exception for me is to see an adult mishandle a child in a store, etc. I disagree with this behavior and I have approached the offender. Additionally some guy was verbally abusing my wife at SAM's and I yelled from the crowd and pursued him but he turned into the road runner

Chatbrat 04-05-2016 02:33 PM

The yell was to make sure the 3 adults in the cart heard, the warning- we were not close enough for polite advice

The worst action, is in action

You haven't run up against someone bigger and badder than you. You hail from my neck of the wood's. Back in Jersey I don't believe you would voice your opinion successfully the way you did in a beautiful retirement community. It seems to me that this is what gives people from other parts of our country the impression that we open our mouth to change feet when we are from tri state area. How do you know that the people that were bellowed at could even hear you? If those people were 3 times 7 then they have decisions to make and consequences to live with. People who think they are temporarily deputized are weak. I wonder if what you were driving in was equal to or greater than the golf cart those poor children were being transported in? A superior vehicle perhaps? I was going to pass on posting here but you are correct....the worst action is no action....take it easy on others....maybe their car was broken down and they had an emergency....the best move would have been to help them.

I ran into real bad guys &I survived received 2 commendations from the NYPD for personally apprehending street criminals--this was , when I was younger &really nuts.

In Florida, if the situation warranted, we shoot .

We didn't have to look too far, this was on the noon news today.

Man run over in road-rage incident sent to hospital | WFTV

LEESBURG, Fla. - An argument about driving Monday resulted in one man being sent to the hospital after he was run over by another driver, investigators said.

Officials said 911 calls poured in after Christopher Detwieler was hit by a driver around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 441 and County Road 473 in Leesburg.

Deputies learned the hit-and-run was the result of a road rage incident. Deputies said the two drivers were arguing with each other while driving down 473.

"One vehicle tried to pass the other vehicle. The vehicle sped up and cut him off,” Fred Jones of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jones said Detwieler got out of his car to confront the other driver, and accused him of putting his fiance and baby, who were in the car, in danger.

Deputies said Detwieler stepped in front of the other driver’s car and threatened to call police, but the driver ran him over and kept going.

Witnesses said the hit-and-run driver was a white male driving a black passenger car, possibly a Mazda, with a red passenger door.

Detwieler was airlifted to Orlando Health with serious injuries.

Deputies said drivers should never confront anyone during a road-rage incident.

If you want to live in a highly regulated and controlled society consider moving to North Korea, or some such place.

Good thinking, do away with all laws, we wouldn't want to be regulated.

Chatbrat, you were right to say something to them, maybe they will rethink their actions and save their children from a serious possible injury.

Chatbrat and Walter123, there are some real dumbs**ts out there - my post from last week with 4 people in a 2 person cart, the Jeep from New York that cut me off yesterday while I was merging into traffic, in my cart, at the St. James gate and then proceeded to try and turn on the MMP toward Sandhill, today the car travelling the same direction as I that turned right in front of me at Buttonwood and I still don't know how I missed it - probably everyone on TOTV has stories of witnessing idiotic acts, even the "head in the sand" naysayers.

What is wrong with this statement? No one wins during a road rage incident; if you're your dumb enough to step out of your car, don't ever step in front of the car driven by the person you're confronting - a big no no; trying to play "macho man" in front of fiancé and baby and ends up in the hospital. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

:agree:

The guy who got out of his car was the aggressor as far as I'm concerned. The whole incident would probably be over when the light turned green. I don't know who was the cause of the dispute but as soon as you get out of your car to confront the other driver you become the aggressor. The guy in the hospital will now have some time to think about how he put his own family in danger. I'm glad he survived. He was given a second chance. The other driver was wrong for what he did too. Remember the incident a few months back at one of our gates? The guy in the front car got out to confront the guy behind him. Also dumb, dumb, dumb.
