Default Emergency Generator

Are any of the clubhouses or activity centers equipped with emergency generators in case there is a loss of power due to hurricanes or tornados?

Not sure whether to answer yes or no, quite frankly!

The thing is that power in TV is strictly underground, so powere outages are few and far between. In better than five years here, only four-five outages, none longer than a couple-three minutes.

So, I'm not sure there's a concern!

Why would you ask this question? Did someone tell you something that caused you concern?

Just because the power lines within TV are underground, doesn't mean much. The power is generated above ground somewhere. Between there and wherever it goes underground is where you have the problem. Where we live now, all the utilities are underground, but we have a generator and have had to use it a few times. Just last week, the street behind us had power out for about 16-20 hours.

We were living here in the summer of 2004 when hurricanes criss-crossed the state and blew right by TV. One knocked down a huge live oak in Glenbrook Village which took out a power box on Talley Ridge. The effect was that one half of our street lost all power for three days. We were the dividing line between the haves and the have nots--lucky us, we were the have not side.
