The only problem I see with this particular business is its location. Seldom do I see more than one or two cars in the vacuum area, so I expect them to be out of business if traffic doesn't pick up. Try them, I don't think you'll regret it.

Out of business cause the won’t accept cash? I refuse to dine at restaurants that don’t take cash. Just want I want somebody working low wage taking my credit card doing transactions that I can see. But, eventually cash go way of telephone booth. Hopefully I be walking in green meadow waving me in?

Yes they have a car wash mode. The real issue is swirls and scratches from the car wash, and some EV have high quality car paints that are subject to scratches you would not see on a normal paint job.

The auto car wash is just as safe for an EV as it is for any other car. Period!!

Totally understandable that car washes (and such businesses) avoid cash. ESPECIALLY when the cash is NOT in control of the business owner. Sticky fingers by min wage folks.

Good news/ bad for the owners however. With no cash business, it's almost impossible to cook the books (aka Walter White..) to show less income (less taxes).

nobody seemed to answer the OPs question so I will jump in.

No. As far as I know, there are no manual/DIY car washes (the style with bays and a wand that the user operates) in this area.

your first sentence - true, and typical.

I had decided to wash it myself (mustered the energy..) and it turned out great. Into the garage before the PM rains. So I'm all good.

Well, sometimes they can't handle being charged.

Default Ev car wash in The Villages

I do not think any car should go through a "Car Wash". However in your case I would consider a touchless car wash like the one at Sams Club on 466 for $7.00. Bring a soft high absorbant towel to touch up after leaving the car wash. Check your owners manual for specifics on car washes. ie turn off auto windshield wipers and some EV,s have directions and actual settings for car washing. If it is a Tesla, visit or join The Villages Tesla Club for guidance and help in all aspects of your EV ownership.

Not a rag top. I’d never take the Beamer convertible through a car wash.

Undercarriage wash is extremely important up north to get rid of the chemicals and salt used to treat the roads for snow and ice. Not really necessary in Florida.
